About Us

"All of the education in the world could not prepare me for what I am experiencing right now."
— Mary Ann Andrews
Dream Catcher Ranchito opened in June 2006 as a relaxing get-away that is also accessible to all of the activities and attractions that the "City Different" area has to offer.
Mary Ann Andrews, owner and innkeeper at Dream Catcher Ranchito, refers to herself as a "city girl gone country" having moved from busy Northern Kentucky to more rural Northern New Mexico.
Looking for a change in lifestyle, Mary Ann purchased the ranch in November 2005 and with time, energy and enthusiasm changed the ranch into what it is today. Part of the change of lifestyle that Mary Ann was seeking was the need to communicate more with animals, as well as, the need to communicate with people on a different level than her career in insurance had allowed.
With this goal, Mary Ann decided to open her home to others as a bed & breakfast, to board horses, and to raise and sell alpacas.
Mary Ann has found her experience in Santa Fe so far to be both challenging and rewarding. She states that experiencing the birth of an animal has changed her view of many things, while experience the death of an animal has also changed her view of many things.
